Our 5-axis capability allows us to approach complex components with greater access, reduced handling, and improved control across multiple faces of a part. AHMS supports both positional 5-axis machining and full simultaneous 5-axis machining for geometry that demands continuous tool movement, smooth surface transitions, and a more advanced machining strategy.

This capability helps reduce setup variation, improve feature relationships, and support parts that are difficult or inefficient to produce with conventional 3-axis methods.

5-AXIS MACHINING

Big parts require more than big machines.

Large-format machining brings its own challenges: workholding, part movement, material stress, support, reach, tool access, and the risk of distortion as material is removed. AHMS understands that larger components often need a machining strategy built around how the part will move, flex, relax, and finish.

We approach large-format work with practical fixturing solutions, careful planning, and machining methods designed to control distortion while maintaining precision across oversized components, plates, tooling, fixtures, and structural parts.
